Learning the English language must be difficult. Every word or saying seems to have a double meaning, it's nuts! Everyday I learn a new word - or a new meaning of that word. Most of the time I just giggle and think how ridiculous, then I hear people in the outside, public world actually use it! Now I hear that students are using their 'text' language while talking to each other and in their school work! Crazy crazy. I have no idea what the heck any of those acronyms are. My mom, dad, and I were having a competition on who knows the most- I think my dad won.. amazingly.
Anyway, Kurt and I have a few of our own little words we use. Here are some of them:
Burl: adj. Hugely Muscular
Badookadunk: n. A Huge Buttocks
Rad: adj. Awesome
Awesome: adj. Rad
Gnarly: adj. Amazingly Out of Control
Stoked: adj. Exceedinly Happy
Snarf: v. To Stuff Your Face
Freakin' A: ? aka "what the heck" or "Oh my gosh"
Freak: ? "Dang it!"
I'm sure there are other one's we use but I just can't think of them right now.
When I was little I saw this cartoon and every time I heard someone say, "it's raining cats and dogs" I was reminded of this clip. Its a Tex Avery cartoon about Slang, and I think it's pretty clever.

Yes! I can attest to that. The English language is a funny one to learn. There are still terms that bug me because they don't make any sense like "whatchamacallit" and "thingymabobber". What?! I hate words that aren't real and are just used out of laziness. Except for fun ones like "badonkadonk". :) Anyway, thanks for sharing the video. It's so cute and made me laugh. :)
